Ikarus is a modern Oldenburg cremello imported from Germany.  He is a modern, athletic type, with an exceptional temperament. He has three lovely paces, and is highly trainable and intelligent.   

Ikarus GF descends from world famous Inschallah AA, who won his performance test and produced 30 licensed sons, and 70 premium mares. Rhodiamant and Royal Diamond are descended from Inschallah.  Inschallah was exceptionally versatile, producing top horses for Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing.  Of note; Inschallah was by Israel AA, whose sire Fantaisiste II is on the pedigrees of a number of French international Show jumpers. His dam, Resena AA is by Nithard AA, a leading sire of Show jumpers in France.

Performance and Versatility

According to Germany’s former Oldenburg Breeding Director “the Inschallah line produces enormous gaits and solid conformation, but it also produces very suitable sporthorse temperaments. Inschallah’s impeccable temperament has been successfully and consistently showing up in generation after generation of his offspring.”

Marduc, a Grand Prix Elite Trakehner stallion, and Reserve Champion of his licensing, appears twice in Ikarus GF's pedigree. 

His dam line goes back to influential Hanoverian stallion Wendekreis, His sire Ferdinand, in his time was the most famous producer of jumpers in the world.

Inspiration, the sire of Ikarus GFis the only licensed palomino Oldenburg stallion worldwide.

Performance career

Ikarus GF has competed in all three disciplines, Showjumping, Eventing and Dressage. He has placed and won Eventing Trials in 2015 with Juliet Wood. He has also been placed in Dressage, where he is currently competing at Level 4.

His oldest progeny are competing in Dressage and Showjumping.

Colour

Ikarus GF dilutes all colours except grey. Progeny to date are either palomino or buckskin. Depending on the mare he may produce a smokey black.
