In what we think is a first for a stud book or breed society in New Zealand, the NZWA has today launched a comprehensive online database to allow the public to access information such as name, breeder, UELN, NZWB Registration Number, DNA Status and microchip number of any registered NZ Warmblood horse.
A viewable database has long been on the "wish-list" for the NZWA Committee, with members continually asking for this to be avaialble. Now, thanks to the hard work and know how of NZWB member Paula Brocklehurst and her partner Greg Kingsley-Wilkins, we are proud to be able to present this service to our members and the general public.
Each horse can be searched via its name, its breeder's name, its registration or UELN number, and even by its microchip number - a super handy way to check up on a horse that arrives to you with no papers or passport - you can check if it is indeed actually a warmblood horse, as well as gaining assurance of its age and pedigree.
You can also see the progeny of the 1st and 2nd dam of any registered horse, but be aware that the only progeny shown will be those that are actually registered as NZ Warmblood horses.
The online database is read-only, so individuals are not able to access and change the information provided - this can only be done via the NZWA. This is to maintain the integrity of the information on the database. There may be some anomalies as we sort out any teething problems, so please if you see any infomation you believe to be a mistake or missing, please contact president@nzwarmbloods.com and we will look into it at this end.
The database can be accessed on the drop down menu of the Registration Tab on the NZWA website or by following this link:
