Wyoming became the very first NZWB stallion to be licenced via video link with Matthias Werner and Gerd Kust doing the assessment from their respective homes in Germany . Members of the NZWA Committee gathered at Raglan on the 2nd of October to do the videoing of conformation, movement and free jumping and this footage was sent to the assessment team to make their notes.
Scoring well for conformation 79% and movement 80.5%, with adequate free jumping (67.5%) over the 1.10m x 1.0 m required oxers, Wyoming did more than enough to earn his licensing, finishing just shy of a Merit award on 77.25%.
Wyomings highlights were his walk (8.5 and 8), trot (8 and 8), and canter (8 and 8) and conformation marks littered with 8's and 8.5's
He is a young stallion who will take time to strengthen and mature but both assessors were very happy to see him pass and move into the ranks of the NZ Warmblood Stallion Stud Book.
